XPLORE X145 The Imperial Outdoors Xplore X145 is the ultimate two-person backcountry basecamp. A single-axle, four-season off-road trailer built for couples and solo adventurers who refuse to let weather, terrain, or a lack of hookups dictate where they go or how long they stay. At 21 feet 7 inches long with a dry weight of 4,400 lbs and a GVWR of 6,172 lbs, the X145 is the more nimble of the two Xplore Series models, easier to tow and more accessible to a wider range of capable half-ton trucks and SUVs, while still delivering every bit of the Xplore Series’ legendary off-road and off-grid capability.

At the core of the X145 is a heavy-duty, powder-coated boxed-steel frame with full skid plates and D-ring recovery points, paired with the Cruisemaster ATX air-ride independent suspension, one of the most advanced off-road trailer suspension systems on the market. With up to 5 inches of independent airbag adjustment per side, controlled by a key fob, the X145 delivers 21 inches of ground clearance to the skid plate and 24 inches to the frame. Add in 265/75 R16 all-terrain tires, heavy-duty disc brakes, and a DO45 articulating hitch, and you have a trailer that goes wherever your tow vehicle leads — and handles it with confidence.

Four-season performance is built into every detail of the X145. Nearly 3 inches of fully insulated composite wall panels, thermally broken acrylic windows, a heated and enclosed underbelly, and heated water tanks keep the X145 functional and comfortable well below freezing. A Truma Combi furnace and water heater, the same trusted system found in premium European RVs, maintains interior comfort down to -40°F, while the Dometic RTX2000 12V air conditioner keeps things cool in summer heat, running entirely on battery power without shore power.

Off-grid power is equally impressive. Standard equipment includes 240W of rooftop solar and 360Ah of lithium battery storage, with available upgrades to 740W of solar and 1,080Ah of lithium, enough renewable energy to run climate control, kitchen appliances, and electronics for extended backcountry stays. A standard power inverter supplies 110V power to the cooktop and outlets, and all other appliances operate on 12V power directly from the battery bank for maximum efficiency.

Inside, the X145 punches well above its weight. With 75.5 inches of interior height and 78 inches of interior width, the cabin feels surprisingly spacious. Real-wood cabinetry, a fully appointed kitchen with an induction cooktop and 12V refrigerator, a full dry bath with separate shower, and a full-size bed make the X145 a genuine home base for extended adventures. Dual 20 lb LP tanks, 60-gallon fresh and grey water tanks, and a wide range of available accessory options round out a trailer that is as thoughtfully equipped as it is capable.
